Join our 3rd SLEs Community Gathering
The goal of the STE(A)M Learning Ecologies (SLEs) project is to build new local partnerships that promote an Open Schooling approach to STE(A)M education and learning, encouraging a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. By fostering the creation of diverse science education opportunities, the project aims to involve the entire community in a continuous learning process.
Over the past three years, the SLEs project has successfully implemented 109 STE(A)M learning pathways across 16 European countries. As the project moves toward its final stages, we are called not only to celebrate what has been achieved but also to explore how to sustain and scale this approach, as well as other Open Schooling methodologies across Europe.
How can we ensure that the learning pathways developed through Open Schooling projects like SLEs remain impactful long after the projects end? How can we support teachers, cultural actors, and policy makers in embedding Open Schooling approaches into broader and long-term educational strategies?
To address these questions, the SLEs consortium is organising its third and final online Community Gathering: Keeping Open Schooling Pathways Impactful Beyond the Projects on 18 November 2025. This event will bring together educators, policy makers, cultural and science institutions, researchers, and youth to engage in dialogue, reflection, and action.
We will open the session with a keynote speech on the evolution of the Open Schooling approach and the current EU framework.
The second part of the session will focus on the SLEs experience and its sustainability opportunities, along with an overview of Blue Projects and KA1 and KA2 funding opportunities for sustaining STE(A)M projects.
